オリジナリティ (ユニーク性、独自性など、他では見たことがないアイデア):
ChatGPTと小型マイコン使用のAIキーホルダーを作れるかも!と思いついたとき、まだ他の方の作例もありませんでしたので頑張って作ってみました!
創意工夫 (設計、デザインなど、作品における工夫やこだわり):
市販の小型マイコンは多数ありますが、スピーカー、マイク、バッテリー、液晶モニタを備えながらもキーホルダーのサイズまで小さいものはなかったため、一番要求に近いM5capsuleを改造、スピーカーとスピーカーアンプを内蔵しました。
完成度 プロトタイプの完成度、技術的なこだわり:
徹底的に実用に耐えるよう、電子工作の知識のない方(お子様やご年配の方)でも普通に楽しめるように、基板やコード類は完全にケース内に収めプロトタイプ感を出さないようにしました。またプログラムも極力シンプルにし、エラーや再起動が起きないよう繰り返しテスト&調整しました。これは副次的な効果として取り扱いのシンプルさにも貢献しました。
全部で3つ作製し、動画ではそのうちの2個を撮影しています。安定して動作してるのをご確認いただけると思います。
今回の制作にあたり、Xに試作品の動画をPOSTしたところ多くの方から「いいね」を頂けました。その中には医療関係者(高齢者の痴ほう症を研究されてる方、メンタルクリニックが専門の方)も多数いらっしゃり、そのことをキーホルダー制作会社の社長さんに報告したところ、「やりがいのある、また興味のある話ですね!ぜひやってみてください!」と心強いコメントも頂けました。正直、市販のキーホルダーを加工&利用するのはいいとこ黙認もしくはお目こぼしを貰えるのがせいぜい…と思ってたのですがこれはうれしい展開でその後の作りこみにも俄然力が入りました。世の中のAIチャットボットによる会話への関心は想像以上に高いようです。

Originality (uniqueness, originality, etc., ideas that have not been seen anywhere else):
You might be able to make an AI keychain using ChatGPT and a small microcontroller! When I came up with this idea, I couldn't find anyone else's examples, so I did my best to make one!
Creativity and Ingenuity (Efforts and Special Touches in Design and Works):
While there are many commercially available small microcontrollers, none of them were as small as a keychain while still having a speaker, microphone, battery, and LCD monitor. Therefore, I modified the M5capsule, which was the closest to my requirements, by incorporating a speaker and a speaker amplifier.
As the name "capsule" suggests, the interior was densely packed with circuit boards, batteries, and connectors, but I managed to fit in a speaker and an amplifier.
Completion Level: Degree of Completion of the Prototype and Technical Efforts:
To ensure thorough practicality and make it enjoyable even for those without knowledge of electronics (such as children and the elderly), the circuit boards and wires were completely enclosed within the case to avoid a prototype-like appearance. Additionally, the program was kept as simple as possible, and it was repeatedly tested and adjusted to prevent errors and restarts. This also had the secondary effect of contributing to the simplicity of handling. Three units were produced in total, and two of them are shown in the video. You can see that they are operating stably.
During this project, I posted a video of the prototype on X, and it received many "likes" from various people. Among them were numerous healthcare professionals, including those researching dementia in the elderly and mental health clinic specialists. When I reported this to the president of a keychain manufacturing company, he gave me encouraging comments, saying, "This is a rewarding and interesting project! Please go ahead and pursue it!" To be honest, I had expected at best a tacit approval or leniency for modifying and using a commercial keychain, but this positive development greatly motivated me to put even more effort into the subsequent creation process. It seems that the interest in conversations with AI chatbots is higher than I had imagined. And I also learned that the market size for acrylic keychains in Japan is a promising market, exceeding 100 billion yen.
The above X post was made during the early stages of development when the speaker volume was not yet sufficient, but it still received many "likes" from various people.
For the development and production, I based my work on Mr. robo8080's "AtomEcho-ChatGPT" (see the link below).
I hope the successor to the M5capsule has speaker-related features.

It also uses an IMU to provide audible warnings when excessive impact is applied to the keychain.
