システム構成

１、M5stackをwifiでネットに接続し、世界標準時と主要通貨ペアのリアルタイムレートを取得。
２、標準時をもとに主要3都市と世界各国の現地時間を計算、同時に夏時間・標準時間の判断、またその情報で取引時間まで書き込まれた時計盤を選択。

３、　時計盤は24時間時計を採用する前提で、北極点が中心のランベルト正積方位図法に各国市場取引時間帯を書き込んだものを製作。（このレイアウトにすることで時計の短針が示す方向が太陽の位置となります。）
4、時計はアナログは24時間時計としてグリニッジ標準時を表示。主要3都市（NY,ロンドン、東京）は地図上の位置と同じ位置に表示。
5、外部モニターにはローカル時間と各通貨ペアをリアルタイムで表示し、その変動率でM5本体側面のLEDを光らせる（緑→オレンジ→赤）。
6、ケースの製作はM5stackの化粧箱や100円ショップの靴下カップ等を利用し、なるべくコストが掛からないように工夫したバージョンと、市販品のｽﾀｯｸﾁｬﾝのパーツを用いたバージョンの2つを作製。

Connect M5stack to the internet via wifi and get world standard time and real-time rates of major currency pairs.
Calculate the local time of 3 major cities and countries around the world based on standard time, judge daylight saving time and standard time at the same time, and select a clock face written up to transaction time with that information.
On the premise of adopting a 24-hour clock, the clock face was created using the Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area Projection centered on the North Pole with the market trading hours of each country written on it. (With this layout, the direction indicated by the hour hand of the clock is the position of the sun.)
The analog clock displays Greenwich Mean Time as a 24-hour clock. The three major cities (NY, London, Tokyo) are displayed at the same positions as on the map.
Display the local time and each currency pair in real time on the external monitor, and light up the LED on the side of the M5 body at the rate of change (green → orange → red).
For the make of the case, I used M5stack cosmetic boxes and 100-yen shop sock cups, etc., and made a version that was devised so as not to cost as much as possible, and a version that used commercially available parts (Stack Chan).

アナログ時計はグリニッジの標準時、デジタル時計は世界の主要な3市場、NY、London、東京を示します。
時計盤（背景）には各国市場の取引時間帯と北極点を中心とした地図を表示しています。
（時間針（短針）は太陽の位置を示すことになります）
これら４つの要素を統合して表示する世界時計は少なくとも世の中にはまだないようですが、
複雑さは一切なくむしろ直感的な見易さと理解しやすさがあり、あなたが世界各国各市場の現地時間と取引状況をイメージすることを大きく手助けします。

外部モニターにはローカル時間と主要4通貨（３通貨ペア）のレートをリアルタイムで表示します。

側面のLEDのは相場の変動に応じて色が変わります（緑→オレンジ→赤）。常時レートの数字を注視していなくても凡その相場のムードを把握することが可能です。

また、世界時計では標準時とサマーターム、各国市場の取引時間表示切替はすべて自動で行われ、以下の条件によって行われます。

3 月の第 2 日曜日: ニューヨーク、トロント、シカゴ、　夏時間への移行。
3 月最後の日曜日: ロンドン、チューリッヒ、フランクフルト、　夏時間への移行。
4 月の第 1 日曜日: シドニー、ウェリントン、　標準時間に移行します。
9月最後の日曜日：ウェリントン、　夏時間への移行。
10月の第一日曜日：シドニー、　夏時間への移行。
10月最後の日曜日：ロンドン、チューリッヒ、フランクフルト、　標準時間に移行します。
11 月の第 1 日曜日: ニューヨーク、トロント、シカゴ、　標準時間に移行します。

通貨レートを表示させない通常の世界時計モード、ローカル時間表示モードもあります（ローカル時間設定時に使用）。

It is a stack-chan style 24-hour world clock for employees or managers of import/export companies, and those who work in trade clerical work.

There is no complexity at all, rather it is intuitive to see and understand,
and it greatly helps you to imagine the local time and trading situation of each market around the world.

The external monitor displays the local time and the rates of 4 major currencies (3 currency pairs) in real time.

The LED on the side changes color according to market fluctuations (green → orange → red).
Even if you don't pay attention to the rate numbers all the time, it is possible to grasp the mood of the market.

In addition, the world clock automatically switches between standard time, daylight saving time, and trading time display for each country's market under the following conditions.

Second Sunday in March: New York, Toronto, Chicago. Transition to daylight saving time.
Last Sunday in March: London, Zurich, Frankfurt. Transition to daylight saving time.
First Sunday in April: Wellington, Sydney. Transition to standard time.
Last Sunday in September: Wellington. Transition to daylight saving time.
First Sunday in October: Sydney. Transition to daylight saving time.
Last Sunday in October: London, Zurich, Frankfurt. Transition to standard time.
First Sunday in November: New York, Toronto, Chicago. Transition to standard time.

There is also a normal world clock mode that does not display currency rates, and a local time display mode (used when setting local time).

そのような世界時計の弱点を上記でデザインした24時間アナログ時計に地域と時間を書き込むことによって解決(右図）。どの地域が日の出、日没、日中、深夜が即座に分かります。同時に経済活動が活発な時間帯の地域も分かることを意味します。このようなプロセスを経て時計盤のデザインは決定されました。
This weakness of the world clock was resolved by writing the region and time to the 24-hour analog clock designed above (right figure). Instantly know which region is sunrise, sunset, day or midnight. At the same time, it means that you can also see the areas where economic activity is active. 　なぜM5stackを使用したのか？

　輸出入の担当者や貿易事務関連の仕事をされてる方は、同時に複数の案件を抱えていることが多く、机の上やPC,スマホにはそれに関連したファイルが山積みとなっています。FXトレーダーのように複数のPC画面に為替レートを表示させることはまずできません。しかしそれでも為替のレートは常に気にしていなければならず、相場が急変した場合には誰よりも先んじてその情報を得ることが必要になります。そこでPCやスマホより小さく机の上に置いても邪魔にならない、解像度の高いディスプレイやLEDを備えたM5stackの出番、となったわけです。
　大容量バッテリー（3000mAh)を積んでもなお小型なM5stackは、専門性の高い情報をリアルタイムで取得することに最適で、その情報をもとにPCやスマホで詳細を知る。このパターンが最適だと感じています。

Why did I use M5stack?

People in charge of import/export and those who work in trade affairs often have multiple projects at the same time, and related files pile up on their desks, PCs, and smartphones. It is almost impossible to display exchange rates on multiple PC screens like FX traders. However, you still have to keep an eye on the exchange rate, and if the market changes suddenly, you will need to be the first to get the information. Therefore, M5stack, which is smaller than a PC or smartphone and does not get in the way even when placed on a desk, became the optimal tool. M5stack's high resolution display and LED were also very important points.
Even with a large capacity battery (3000mAh), the small M5stack is ideal for obtaining highly specialized information in real time, and based on that information, you can learn more about it on your PC or smartphone. I feel this pattern is perfect.

なぜ３Dプリンターで製作したものより手加工したものを推すのか？

金融や為替の世界に「金融工学」という言葉が浸透してしばらく経ち、経済も「工学」の一部、理系の一部として認識されてる今日です。しかし実際、その最前線で働く方の中には「工学」と無縁な人も大勢います（特にご年配の方）。そういった方にいきなり「３D-CAD」「３Dプリンター」という用語を持ち出しても敬遠されることも多いです。彼らが子供時代にはそういった代物はなく、鉛筆削りをカッターナイフでやり、その出来栄えを友人と競っていた･･･そういう世代です。ですので、カッターナイフで簡単に加工できる！ということを前面に出したガジェットであれば、きっと彼らは昔取った杵柄を有効に生かせる、と思ったわけです。

Why would I recommend hand-made over 3D-printed?

It has been a while since the term "financial engineering" permeated the world of finance and foreign exchange, and today, economics is recognized as a part of "engineering" and a part of science. However, in fact, among those working on the front lines, there are many people who have nothing to do with "engineering" (especially the elderly). Even if you suddenly bring up the terms "3D-CAD" and "3D printer" to such people, they often avoid it. When they were children, they didn't have anything like that, so they sharpened pencils with cutter knives and competed with their friends to see how good they were. Therefore, it can be easily processed with a cutter knife! I thought that if it was a gadget that emphasized that, they would be able to effectively use the pestle pattern they had taken in the past.

遊び心も忘れていません！

　仕事に役に立つガジェットとして作りましたが、見ていて楽しいものとなるようなデザインにもしています。まるで一昔前のスケルトンPCのようでかっこいいでしょ？それでいて上記の説明と画像にも記してますが、モニターカバーは100円ショップの靴下カップ、ケースはcore2AWSの化粧箱、キーボード、マウス、プリンター等の小物も100円ショップで揃え、コストは安さを極めてます。つまり、工作につきものの細かい加工の失敗等も気にせずお気に入りのデザインになるまで何度でもカット＆トライ、自己流のプロトタイピングを楽しめるということです。工作の原点とも言えましょう。
　そして時計盤のデザインにも遊び心を散りばめています。24時間時計、世界地図、太陽の位置･･･まるで大航海時代の航海術や羅針盤を思わせるキーワードです。ゆえに文字盤に書き込む地名もラテン語系（スペイン語）にしました。市場という現代の荒波の中を生き抜くことと大航海時代の命がけの航海、ロマンとして通じるものがあるのではないでしょうか！？

While designed to be a practical gadget for work, it's also created with a design that's enjoyable to look at. It's reminiscent of the cool, old-school skeleton PCs, don't you think? As mentioned in the description and shown in the images, the monitor cover is a sock cup from a 100 yen shop, the case is a core2AWS cosmetic box, and even accessories like the keyboard, mouse, and printer are all from the 100 yen shop.So keeping the costs extremely low. In other words, you can enjoy multiple rounds of trial and error, cutting and trying, until you achieve your favorite design without worrying about minor mishaps in the intricate craftsmanship. This self-guided prototyping process allows you to freely experiment and refine until you're satisfied. It's a return to the fundamentals of craftsmanship.
And in the design of the dial, I've sprinkled a touch of playfulness. The 24-hour clock, the world map, the position of the sun... These keywords evoke the navigation techniques of the Age of Exploration and the compass. Therefore, the place names inscribed on the dial are in Latin-derived (Spanish) languages. There's a connection between navigating the rough seas of the modern market and the daring voyages of the Age of Exploration, which has a romantic element, don't you think?
